This course builds on the Mind Body Skills Series, combining the structure of Dr. James Gordon’s small group model with the Self-Compassion Workbook of psychologists Kristin Neff, PhD and Chris Germer, PhD. Joining the Mind Body Skills Series first is encouraged, but not required. These groups will explore concepts of self-compassion and offer new writing, meditation and visualization exercises each week. Self-compassion has been shown to improve stress-related health outcomes, increase productivity and wellbeing. Some personal sharing and a willingness to hear others share is a part of this group.
