This course builds on the Mind Body Skills Series, combining the structure of Dr. James Gordon’s small group model with the Self-Compassion curriculum of psychologists Kristin Neff, PhD and Chris Germer, PhD. Joining the Mind Body Skills Series first is encouraged, but not required. These groups will explore concepts of self-compassion and offer new exercises each week. IMPORTANT: Psychoeducation and coaching are not a substitution for psychotherapy. Courses and coaching are distinct from psychotherapy in that they are intended for mentally stable individuals, looking to acquire specific skills for future-oriented goals. They do not involve the diagnosis or treatment of mental health conditions. If you have an active mental health condition, participation in courses and coaching may require that you also have a psychotherapist who can meet your needs outside of the courses. I will be happy to do an initial consultation with a health screen and determine if a referral is necessary.
Mind Body Coaching
Private Sessions
The Pain Reprocessing approach as taught by Howard Schubiner, MD is an evidence-based, effective means of rewiring the brain to reduce stress-induced symptoms like pain, anxiety, insomnia, and fatigue, among others. The hypersensitive brain often creates these symptoms as alarms to get our attention. By tending to them mindfully with kind attention and self-compassion, we are able to soothe our brain’s hypervigilance and train it to build neuropathways of safety, soothing, and peace. These individual sessions assist patients in learning and practicing the exercises offered, developing a personalized practice framework, setting reasonable goals, and deepening understanding of the work. Elizabeth also integrates creative exercises and movement explorations as a part of mind body coaching.

The Trager® Approach
somatic movement therapy for psychophysical integration
Private Sessions
The Trager® Approach is a somatic movement modality that uses gentle, rhythmic movements to calm the nervous system, release tension, and help the body remember ease. Through soft rocking, swinging, and stretching, either passively on a massage table or actively in mindful movement, Trager supports deep relaxation, increased mobility, and a clearer mind-body connection. People often seek Trager to ease patterns related to chronic tension, migraines, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, sports injury, and conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, and more. If you're looking for a gentle, restorative way to unwind old patterns and reconnect with your body, Trager offers a grounded and supportive path toward greater ease.

What is the Trager® Approach?
Trager is a somatic movement education modality developed by Dr. Milton Trager in the 70s and 80s. Dr. Trager was a physician who explored freedom and ease through movements and guided clients both on and off the massage table to find ways of moving that are integrating and soothing. For more information on the Trager® Approach, visit the Trager International website.
